The story that started with PERFECT SENSE continues…

Cash Brooks held a secret from Quinn that destroyed any chance they had at a happy ending.

Everything she believed their relationship to be was a lie.

Quinn left heartbroken for Harvard, unable to stop loving him even though she knew his past ruined any chance they had at a future.

Now, she’s in Boston completing her MBA and learning to move on without the only man she ever loved. Starting over isn’t easy… especially when an unlikely circumstance pulls her into Cash’s world once again. The truth will come out, hearts will be broken, and Cash will have to battle the mistakes from his past and fight for a second chance to be with the woman he loves.

Their love isn’t perfect, but will it be enough for Quinn to learn to trust him again? Or will the burden and mistakes from his past keep them apart forever?

I feel like I need to start out saying that I really don’t think this book should be read without book #2. It follows the story line to book 1 and involves the same main characters. I definitely don’t think it’s meant to be a stand alone in any sense of the definition.

Oh man, this book was great. It was frustrating, maddening, loving, and comical at times. There were times when I was so frustrated with the characters I might have been mentally yelling at them, and times when I was just wanted to put the story down. It was absolutely wonderful!

I think the only way to achieve my comment above, is to have incredibly well written details and descriptions. Scenes were described perfectly, they were easily pictured, there was no second guessing what was going on. The relationships were beautiful. They were real and true. They were anything but perfect. Who wants to read a story that is all sunshine and rainbows?
I really enjoyed the first and second book in this series. They were well written, had beautiful relationships, and had fun characters. They had meaningful relationships. They had great friendships. It was a series I would read again!

Speechless. I am absolutely speechless. The end of this book definitely leaves you speechless, wanting more, needing more.

The characters, the story line, the details, the descriptions, everything in this book is awesome. This book made me want to keep reading. It made me want to forget my responsibilities as an adult, a mom, a wife. It made me want to keep turning the pages. I had to know what was going to happen. I applaud the author in the way in which she chose to write the story. She did a great job.

This story is exciting, it’s heart wrenching, it’s beautiful. It’s a love story between two people who aren’t meant to be together. They live two completely different lives and have two different goals in life. Their chance meeting introduces them to a love they didn’t know they wanted. Their love is flawed. It’s beautiful. It’s ugly. It’s perfect. It’s real.

There are multiple, very steamy, bedroom scenes. They are descriptive in nature and are pretty high on the steam rating. Don’t let this scare you away if sex in books isn’t your thing. There is a lot more to this book than the bedroom scenes!

I would absolutely beg you to read this steamy, sweet, totally alpha hockey player story. It’s a great read. It’s one you won’t want to put down and one you’ll be glad you read! Go grab a copy and while you’re doing that, grab book #2. You’ll thank me when you have it ready to read next!
