Genre:

M/M, Paranormal, Romance

Synopsis:

Remy is a wolf shifter who loves getting under the hood of a beauty with lots of horses and hates his mother nagging him to start having pups. When he is summoned to his asshole alpha's house, things go from bad to worse as he fails a test of loyalty by refusing to torture and kill a vampire. He's forced to challenge for the position as Alpha. No one is more surprised than he is when he actually wins. But what does he know about running a pack?

Remy soon realizes the severely wounded male vampire is his mate. Skylar’s coven sent him to investigate rumors about a poison targeting vampires. Skylar is drop-dead gorgeous, with the brightest blue eyes Remy has ever seen. He's also blind. Will forces outside their control and the new responsibilities facing Remy put a stop to their mating and their life together before it begins?

5 out of 5 (exceptional)

Blind Under The Moon is the first book in the Blood Moon Pack Alliance series, and it starts with Remy being called to his Alpha's house, for reasons unknown to him. When told to do something he doesn't agree with, Remy finds out that he is more than he thought... which brings about a whole new host of problems. One thing at a time though.

This is a fast-paced, action-filled start to the series. It is full of steamy scenes, humour, sibling rivalry/loyalty and offers glimpses of future pairings. With the groundwork mostly laid, this book shows both the depth of the mate bond and the type of Pack/Coven/Family that Remy is looking to build.

Well-written, with no editing or grammatical errors to disrupt the reading flow, this is an excellent start to a new series - enough to satisfy for one book, but definitely left wanting more.

Synopsis:

Jacko’s life has been a series of people taking advantage of him that should have protected him and his sister. The only chance he saw to end it was to win a fight for rank contest hosted by a new pack alpha, but a rock to the head stopped that plan cold. Despite not winning the fight, the alpha not only gave him a place in the pack, but also rescued his little sister from his evil mother.

Lavi and Van are vampire elders and the sight of them makes Jacko’s wolf pant. They are everything he’s ever wanted and so out of his league, but they are just what he needs to protect his sister. It doesn’t take long for him to realize the vampires might be his mates, but he isn’t the only one wanting a piece of the hot powerful vampires. Is he strong enough to protect them?

Jacko made his appearance in the first book, when he tried out for a place in Remy's Inner Circle, but was knocked out. He still decided to stay with Remy though, especially when Remy said he would save his sister. We find out that Jacko's life has been anything but easy, and the same for his sister. Lavi and Van show up whilst Jacko is at the hospital, and from that moment on, things take a steamy turn.

I loved how neither Lavi or Van pushed Jacko, they were prepared to go at his pace and only do what he was comfortable with. Considering his history, this was the only way for them to move forward, and it worked. The mystery surrounding Trevor, Jacko's mum Linda, plus however many others is slowing coming to light. With appearances of Remy and Skylar too, this series is still going strong.

Exceedingly well written, with no editing or grammatical errors to disrupt the reading flow, I can definitely recommend it.

Synopsis:

Zeke is an enforcer for his pack but since being back from visiting his little brother Remy, he's been noticing strange things. Never in his life did he imagine his alpha and inner circle would betray him, though.

Zeke loses everything—his house, his business, his savings, but escapes with his sisters, nieces and nephew thanks to Remy coming to the rescue with a little vampire help. Zeke knows firsthand that vampires can't be trusted. Even meeting Remy's mate hadn't dissuaded him of that certainty. But the second he meets Ashlock everything changes.

Ashlock is hot enough to make Zeke dream of claiming the vampire as his own. Fate isn’t supposed to be wrong and his wolf is certain that the vampire is his mate. However, Zeke's fears run deep and for good reason. How can he claim Ashlock when the thought of letting the vampire bite him leaves him cold with dread?

Zeke is one of Remy's elder brothers, and is an Enforcer for a different clan. After meeting up with Remy, Zeke returns home to find that things are changing for him and sisters, more quickly than he realised. After an intense start to this book, the general theme carries on as one thing after another is revealed. Zeke has things to deal with from his past, which affect his present and future. Jacko, Lavi, Van, plus Remy and Skyler, all play a part in this story, as we learn more about Trevor's machinations and just what he is trying to achieve.

Once again, excellently written and full of steam. There are no editing or grammatical errors to interrupt the reading, but there is plenty of action to keep your interest. Definitely recommended by me.

Synopsis:

Micah can be an ass, he admits it. But most of the time when he says something stupid it's a backfired attempt at teasing. Micah never pictured himself settling down, there were too many men and women out there to keep him busy hoping from one bed to another. There's only been one man who got under his skin. His brother's best friend. However, a series of misunderstandings and arguments and years of resentment aren’t easy to overcome.

Rylan's mother dumped him on the pack's doorstep when he was a pup after finding out her husband wasn't quite human. It left Rylan with a chip on his shoulder and a need to prove himself. Micah can't help but bite back when Rylan pokes at him, but always assumed that most of the animosity between them was relatively harmless and shrugged it off as just not getting along.

Since being cornered by his little brother and warned to play nice, Micah decides that maybe the past is better left where it is. Only before he can come to terms with his own mistakes and apologize, Rylan is kidnapped and no one knows where to look.

Micah searches until he is ready to collapse from exhaustion. He even challenges his alpha. The pack and coven desperately search for Rylan but when they finally find Rylan after six weeks, it may be too late to save him. Trevor's devious mind and scheming nature isn’t going to be easily outwitted.

4 out of 5 (very good)

Book four is all about Rylan and Micah. You actually hear more about Rylan's history in one go in the synopsis than in the rest of the book, as it is told as snippets and flashbacks. If you have read the previous books, you already know that Rylan and Micah are at each others' throats most of the time, and that it is probably due to unresolved sexual tension. Things seem to be set between them though - that is, until Rylan get kidnapped by Trevor.

This book is a bit darker than the rest, with torture, post-traumatic stress, and brain-washing just some of the subjects covered. It also edges slightly towards Sci-Fi with talk of brain chips and retina cameras. Still, the story is intriguing, full of anguish and horror.

I really enjoyed this book and the turn that it has taken, however, it came in as a 4-star for me. Something was missing, and I'm not sure what. If I figure it out, I'll let you know. Still a damn fine book though, and definitely recommended.

Synopsis:

Jackal shifter Jake has always had an affinity for the sciences, but Trevor’s toxic mixture is way beyond anything he’s had to deal with in the past. How can just one jackal find the answer? Stranger things had happened...a lone jackal living in a coven of vampires, for one.

After a long struggle, Jake has finally done it—he’s figured out the solution to the blood poisoning and the drugging smoke Trevor used to dose both sides of the Blood Moon Pack Alliance. Excited, he calls the three mated pairs he knows who will appreciate the find most, starting with the two vampire elders that took him in when he was lost and gave him a home.

But things aren’t always rosy. Just because others are getting their happy endings—or beginnings—doesn’t mean he is any closer to his own. In fact, he may be further away than ever before.

On the other hand, Elders Lavi and Van take great advantage of the new cure and take Jacko on a flight to remember, while Ashlock and Zeke get creative in a tattoo studio. Remy and Skylar take a very expensive shopping trip, and Micah and Rylan deal with the repercussions of the intense power spike from the alpha pair completing the bond.

3 out of 5 (good)

In book 5 of the Blood Moon Pack Alliance series, I was hoping to read about Jake and Sage... and I did, but only for a short while. There is obviously going to be a book dedicated to Jake and Sage (I can only hope!), but for now, we have to deal with a short teaser followed by how three mated sets are able to complete their bonds fully. I do think this was a good way to 'finish' their stories without taking anything away from future mated pairs/triads.

Even though this book was not what I was expecting, it was still very well written, with no editing or grammatical errors to disrupt the flow. With some steamy scenes, this book is a good addition to the series, but doesn't really offer anything new. Still recommended by me.

Synopsis:

Asher is used to being overlooked and not taken seriously as the joker brother. It doesn’t usually bother him. When the pack house is attacked, Asher takes on the mission to hunt down the one responsible. He is tired of their enemy having the upper hand. If he can hunt down Kimi, then they may finally be a step ahead. The only problem is that he can’t only think about himself now because a confession from a wayward pup causes him to become a guardian of a teenager.

Things only get more complicated when a human named Tyler helps him out in a night club to corner Kimi and gets kidnapped for his trouble. Asher is given a choice—trade newly caught Kimi or Tyler dies. Corralling an uncooperative Kimi gets him up close and personal with the vampire, but instead of wringing his neck like he wants to, Asher finds himself drawn to the unmistakable scent of his mate. If that wasn’t enough to test him, the proof the kidnappers deliver to him comes with a stunning revelation—Tyler is also his mate.

30 Pieces of Bloody Silver takes us back to the main story, and in spectacular fashion. Asher and Jake slowly become friends, and Asher convinces him to join the Pack. On his first night there, the Pack is attacked and Jake's old Pack try to take him back. This is only a diversion though, and they see a vampire going after Saffron and Rosemary's pups. Following a hunch, Asher (and his new pup, Parker) go back to his old Pack whilst trying to find Kimi. Asher's old Pack are brilliant, and I hope that I see more of them in the future. With one thing and another, Asher realises that he has been blessed with two mates, both of them male.

I loved this book! To see the depth of Asher's bonds, both his mate bonds and the one to his Pack, and what happens when they are in dispute with each other was wonderful to read. Heartbreaking, but wonderful, as it gave such insight to how the bonds affect each wolf.

This is the last book, for now, but I am absolutely hooked and I can't wait for more. Just like the others, this book was well written, with no editing or grammatical errors that I could see. Definitely recommended.
