BOOK BLITZ, REVIEW & #GIVEAWAY - Killer Pursuit by Jeff Gunhus

Book & Author Details:

Killer Pursuit by Jeff Gunhus
(Allison McNeil)
Publication date: January 10th 2016
Genres: Adult, Thriller

Synopsis:

When a high-society call girl is murdered in her Georgetown home, investigators find two cameras hidden in the walls of her bedroom. One has its memory erased, presumably by the murderer. The second is connected to the Internet through an encrypted connection…and no-one knows who’s on the other end.

Special Agent Allison McNeil is asked by beleaguered FBI Director Clarence Mason to run an off-the-record investigation of the murder. The most direct path to apprehending the killer is to find the videos, but with rumors that the victim’s client list may have included Mason’s political enemies, Allison worries about the director’s motives. As she starts her investigation, she quickly discovers that she’s not the only one pursuing the videos. In fact, the most aggressive person racing against her might be the murderer himself.

4 out of 5 (very good)

Independent Reviewer for Archaeolibrarian - I Dig Good Books!

This novel really is action packed from start to finish. It's highly detailed, but not unnecessarily. It kept me on the edge of my seat. The characters are so real and believable, you almost want to scream at them at points to do, or not do, something they are about to!

It is fast paced and shows the character of Allison McNeill as a many faceted person. Essential in a good lead as far as I'm concerned. A great character without being an over the top persona , who irritates!

My favourite characters are Libby, who needs to sort out his sense of right and wrong. I won't spoil if he manages to do so. His relationships with others are so screwed up but it makes him more human and appealing. I also loved the character of Natalie. I would love to see a prequel about the lives of this character.

If you like a really good hard boiled mystery, which pulls absolutely no punches, and sucker punches you when you least expect it, this is the book for you!!
