The Saga Continues...

About the Authors

Wendi Kelly and Deb Dorchak started writing together in early 2009 in a creative writing forum. Not only did their characters mesh, but the two authors did as well. Together, they created Blue Sun Studio, a company that combined their talents in writing, design and coaching to help entrepreneurs create the lives and businesses they have always dreamed of.
It wasn’t long before they both decided their next logical step was to take their beloved characters and put them in a novel. They wrote their first novel, Bonds of Blood & Spirit: Loyalties, from several thousand miles apart—Wendi in Chicago and Deb in Las Vegas. They didn’t meet face to face until May of 2010 when they were ready to refine the first draft and begin the arduous process of rewrites.
Their second book in the Saga, Uncivil Wars, was two years in the making. Maintaining a full-time coaching, writing and design business while writing a second novel proved quite the balancing act. Uncivil Wars had a lot of starts and stops along the way and when all was said and done, it ended up being a 1,000 page book.
They took a step back and realized they couldn’t fit the whole story into a trilogy. They split Uncivil Wars in half and Reclamations was born.
Legacies practically wrote itself. The fourth book in the series topped out at over 2k in words and would have been longer than both Uncivil Wars and Reclamations combined. A lot of it ended up on the cutting room floor—gone, but not forgotten.
That material gave rise to the first book of the second series, The Color of Storms.

Wendi Kelly

Wendi lives in Chicagoland with her husband John, daughter, Lizzie and three dogs. Her three older children, mother, and extended relatives all live close by and she shares a very busy family life with them that often reminds her of the Pack. She is a writer, theater director, artist, photographer, motivational speaker and transformational life/business coach. She combines her busy artistic life with a passion for helping others achieving theirs at the same time.
Her true gift is in using her creative talents to inspire others to be a visionary in their own future and her life purpose is to use those gifts for the good of all.

Deborah Dorchak

Deb lives in Las Vegas, with her family, two cats, and a garage full of motorcycles. Her creative writing background began as a child when she first dreamed of having a novel of her own sitting on the shelf next to the likes of Melanie Rawn, Robert Asprin, and Piers Anthony. It wasn’t until she read Interview with a Vampire years later that she wanted to do for werewolves what Anne Rice did for the vampire genre.
Today, she balances her writing career with graphics, websites, book design, and teaching in related workshops for an international clientele at Blue Sun Studio.
