Summary from Goodreads:

Originally published as the Run to You serial parts 1-3: First Sight, Second Glance, and Third Charm.

Deception So Deadly is the complete first novel in the two-book Run to You series, a riveting romantic thriller about a family on the run from a deadly past and a first love that will transcend secrets, lies and danger…

Sarah Spencer has a secret: her real name is Tessa Carson, and to stay alive, she can tell no one the truth about her psychically gifted family and the danger they are running from. As the new girl in the latest of countless schools, she also runs from her attraction to Tristan Walker—after all, she can't even tell him her real name. But Tristan won't be put off by a few secrets. Not even dangerous ones that might rip Tessa from his arms before they even kiss…

Run to You is Tessa and Tristan's story—two full-length books about psychic gifts, secret lives and dangerous loves. Danger. Deception. Betrayal. It must be true love.

I received a copy of this book from YA Bound Book Tours in exchange for a fair and honest review.
This book was very interesting.  The twists and turns that happen in this book are incredible and kept me reading from page one.  The story line sounded interesting but I think was written better than I could have hoped. Nervousness, excitement, worry, dread, are a few emotions that I felt while reading this book. Just as I thought I had figured out what was going to happen, the author threw another curve ball and some of those curveballs were major curveballs!
This isn’t just a suspense or thriller there is some sweet romance going on too. Tessa needed someone, a friend per say, that she could attach herself too. She didn’t want to become close to anyone because her family was always moving to new places and it was easier to form no attachments than keep breaking them. Tristan won’t go away. I loved their back and forth and sweetness for one another.
There are questions that are left unanswered after reading book one that I hope will be answered in book two. While we get a general idea why the family was left constantly running and under attack, I would love some more detail for this.  Since this is a two part story I’m reserving my judgement until book two for it to really affect my review. I’d definitely check this book out.

 5/5 (Exceptional)

I received a copy of this book from YA Bound Book Tours in exchange for a fair and honest review.
I didn’t think that the author could up the suspense and thriller part of this story, but she sure did.  Tessa is on her own, with the help of Tristan of course but he can’t always be there, to find her siblings. She is the only one that can keep them from running.  This story grips you from the beginning until the last page. There are ups, downs, twists, and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat.  Tessa tries to have a normal life but can’t seem to get past the fact that her brother and sister are missing and that was always in the forefront of her mind, making “life” hard to function.
This book answered some questions I had at the end of book one and summed everything up nicely. There weren’t any questions or plot holes that were left open or unanswered by the time I read the last page. This author does a great job providing incredible detail and description on every page you read. This not only makes it easier to visualize the scene but also makes the story flow so much easier and smoothly. The science fiction part of it was written so well that it, at times, didn’t seem like fiction, and felt like it could be something that happened in the real world. A job well done to the author!

Clara Kensie, author of dark fiction for young adults

…don’t forget to breathe…

Clara Kensie grew up near Chicago, reading every book she could find and using her diary to write stories about a girl with psychic powers who solved mysteries. She purposely did not hide her diary, hoping someone would read it and assume she was writing about herself. Since then, she’s swapped her diary for a computer and admits her characters are fictional, but otherwise she hasn’t changed one bit.

Today Clara is the author of dark fiction for young adults. Her debut series is the romantic thriller RUN TO YOU: Deception So Deadly and Deception So Dark.

Her favorite foods are guacamole and cookie dough. But not together. That would be gross.
