BLOG TOUR, REVIEW & #GIVEAWAY - Jesse’s Girl by Miranda Kenneally

Book & Author details:

Jesse’s Girl by Miranda Kenneally

Practice Makes Perfect.
Everyone at Hundred Oaks High knows that career mentoring day is a joke. So when Maya Henry said she wanted to be a rock star, she never imagined she’d get to shadow *the* Jesse Scott, Nashville’s teen idol.

But spending the day with Jesse is far from a dream come true. He’s as gorgeous as his music, but seeing all that he’s accomplished is just a reminder of everything Maya’s lost: her trust, her boyfriend, their band, and any chance to play the music she craves. Not to mention that Jesse’s pushy and opinionated. He made it on his own, and he thinks Maya’s playing back up to other people’s dreams. Does she have what it takes to follow her heart—and go solo?

Maya loved music. She loved listening to it, playing it, and wasn’t so much into singing it, even though her voice was lovely, most of the time.  She was lucky to be able to shadow a famous a country singer to learn from. Her life would be forever changed from that day forward, in nearly every single way, she just didn’t know it yet. Would she really learn anything from him? Did she have a future in music?
I thought that this story was incredible! It was fun, serious, sweet, sad, and romantic. It will have you laughing at some of the antics Jesse and Maya get up to.  It will have your heart breaking for Jesse and the things he is battling. It will leave you needing to know more and not putting the story down. It’s worth being stuck in the same spot for a few hours just to finish the story.
The writer did a great job writing the two main characters. I think they had great chemistry from the first time meeting, even if it didn’t end in the best way. They seemed real and it made me feel like they could be real people. The author did a great job with the details and descriptions as it was fun picturing Maya’s outfits and Jesse’s boots! This really makes a story a piece of art work and I think it was done incredibly well.
I urge you to get a copy of this book! It’s such a great story!

Growing up in Tennessee, Miranda Kenneally dreamed of becoming an Atlanta Brave, a country singer (cliché!), or a UN interpreter. Instead she writes, and works for the State Department in Washington, D.C., where George W. Bush once used her shoulder as an armrest. Miranda loves Twitter, Star Trek and her husband.
