1. What do you do when you’re not writing?

When I'm not writing. I'm either exercising, hanging out and playing with my pets and my family. You'd also find me walking, reading, cooking or one of many other activities I enjoy.
2. Do you have a day job as well?
Currently, no. Writing is all I'm focusing on for now. I'm hoping to be able to make it a full time living one day :-)

3.When did you start writing and when did you finish your first book?
I've always written, just never thought about publishing until around 2012. I wrote my first short, the start to the Wunder series. My mentor, Leanore Elliott, pushed me in the deep end and told me to learn from it all. She helped me with everything I needed to get out here and I've not looked back ever since (thank you Leanore).
5. Is there any particular author or book that influenced you in any way either growing up or as an adult?
Not really. I've read until my eyes crossed, various genres, all authors (big and small). I do have a ton of favorites though. Stephen King, George R.R. Martin, Patricia Briggs, Karen Marie Moning, Keri Arthur, Alison Noel, Kresley Cole, Laurell K. Hamilton, Richelle Mead, J.R. Ward, just to name a few for you.

5.Can you tell us about your challenges in getting your first book published?
My main one was getting over the fear I had at the time. That fear was putting myself out there for all to see, to read. It's honestly very scary and I don't fear much lol

 6. If you had to go back and do it all over, is there any aspect of your novel or getting it published that you would change?
Not a thing! I'd leave everything as is. Why, well that's so that my readers see my growth as I continue on this exciting path.
7.Is anything in your book based on real life experiences or purely all imagination?
In this particular book, yes. There are one or two things. But I can't tell you. It's a secret ;-)

8. Do you have any advice to give to aspiring writers?
Yes I do.
It will seem impossible at some points, as all the greatest things in life so. But you HAVE to give it a shot and stick to it if it’s something you really want to do, live the dream!
Also, NEVER compare yourself to another; find your own voice because it will speak the loudest and will always be the truest!

9.Is there one subject you would never write about? What is it?
I'd never go the historical route. Why, well because history and me. We just don't get a long very well. I tend to doze on it...

10. If you could cast your characters in a Hollywood adaptation – who would you choose for which character?
I've not thought about it for this particular book yet. I'd have to go with Mila Kunis as Medusa and Jared Padalecki as Poseidon. Yes, I feel they'd be amazing to see on screen in these roles.
