Love Caters All
by Nicci Carrera
When hard-driving CEO Rick Nordan arrives in Lobster Cove under strict orders from the family doctor to take a break, he discovers the rental house comes with a family attached, including one sexy dynamo of a caterer. She's nothing like his ex-fiancée who wouldn't sign a pre-nup, but maybe that means she's the real deal and not a gold digger.
Maya Cruz wants life for her widowed mother to get easier by renting out her house during the summer. But teaching Mama business means explaining Rick isn't a "guest," he's a "customer." And the first thing Mama does is invite Rick to join their family activities.
Having Rick around wouldn't be so bad if Maya didn't find him so attractive. The last time she fell for a vacationing millionaire, she had her heart broken.
She swore off his type, and he's not looking, but this might be a recipe for love.
“I’m sorry,” he said.
Oh, so the way to get Rick to apologize was to let him win? Now there was an interesting twist. She stuck out her hand. “Truce?”
He nodded but didn’t let her hand go. Instead he pulled her close for a kiss. For a moment she drank in his scent, which was a subtle spice, like Earl Grey tea.
“What did you do that for?”
“I didn’t have any other defense.”
“A kiss is not a defensive move!”
4 out of 5 (very good)

**Disclaimer: I received a copy of this book from Goddess Fish promotions in exchange for a fair and honest review.**
Rick is told he needs to take a vacation by his DR for his health. He rents a cabin and off he goes. However, when he shows up, it’s not quite what he expected. It comes with a welcome by the Cruz family and hot fresh cookies. An attractive, feisty, outgoing grabs his attention during his welcome. He is only there for two weeks, can he have a short, no strings attached fling? Will this be another right play boy that will forget Maya once he leaves? Can Maya handle that?
This was a fun and cute book to read. There were points where I was laughing out loud and others where I was sighing at the sweetness. However, there were others where I was frustrated with the male lead, Rick. Maya’s character was very well written. I absolutely loved her character. She has the biggest heart one person can have. Her goal in life is to make sure her sisters and mom are taken care of. Her character gives you the warm and fuzzy feelings as you see how hard she is working for her family. It’s a trait that we all should strive to possess in the real world.
This book would have been a 5 star read but it was missing something. It needed a little more pizazz or excitement to the story. There were also some parts that seemed to be thrown into the story but didn’t necessarily jive with the rest of the story. I consider them minor issues though and enjoyed the story overall.
