***Note - Chasing The Dragon is the first book in a two-book duet and is a spin-off of T.K. Leigh's USA Today Best Selling Beautiful Mess series. It is not necessary to have read that series in order to read this duet, but it will contain a mild spoiler from the third book in the Beautiful Mess series, Gorgeous Chaos.***

I received this book from Once Upon An Alpha in return for a fair and honest review.
As stated in the synopsis, this is a spin-off from A Beautiful Mess series. I haven't read that series although it is now on my wishlist. Saying that, my enjoyment from reading Chasing the Dragon was in no way compromised.
T.K. Leigh has written an amazing story here that will enchant you, it will raise your temperature as you read it and it will also rip your heart out, stomp on it before leaving it in tiny little pieces that you try to pick up as fugly tears constantly leak from your eyes! This is a romantic suspense that will leave your heart pounding, your mind mystified and your pulse racing as you hurriedly turn from page to page like an addict.
It is incredibly well-written with no spelling or grammatical errors that I could find. The suspense is built up and incredible whilst the passion fairly pings off the page. I can honestly say that the ending snuck up on me, I was that engrossed in the story that I didn't even notice how close I was to the end until it stopped. At which point my kindle very nearly had flying lessons! What followed was an apology by T.K. Leigh for the cliffhanger which made me laugh at the same time as I was still desperately cursing!
I can't wait for Slaying the Dragon in the autumn as I have loads of questions that need answering but at the same time, I just want more of Tyler and McKenzie. Absolutely and utterly recommended!
T.K. Leigh, otherwise known as Tracy Leigh Kellam, is the USA Today Best Selling author of the Beautiful Mess series. Originally from New England, she now resides in sunny Southern California with her husband, dog and three cats, all of which she has rescued (including the husband). She always had a knack for writing, but mostly in the legal field. It wasn't until recently that she decided to try her hand at creative writing and is now addicted to creating different characters and new and unique story lines in the Contemporary Romantic Suspense genre. When she's not planted in front of her computer, writing away, she can be found running and training for her next marathon (of which she has run over fifteen fulls and far too many halfs to recall). Unlike Olivia, the main character in her Beautiful Mess series, she has yet to qualify for the Boston Marathon.
