Disclaimer **I received a copy of this book from Totally Bound Publishing in exchange for a fair and honest review.**
On the outside, Grady had everything a single male would want: a rocking body, was living in New Orleans which is party central, and had a job that allowed him to come into contact with good looking women for one night strands. Unfortunately, he had nothing he wanted in his heart, love, a place to call home, and happiness. When his wife left him and he lost his job, he went back to his college career; stripping and dancing. It made him good money while the economy was going down the tubes. Everything was working out for Grady until he met Alison. Then everything in his world was turned upside down and twisted inside out, including his heart. Could he really trust and love another female?
This book was incredible! I loved reading the story. I absolutely hated Grady’s character the first good half of the book. He was a pompous, self-righteous, arrogant jerk. The author did an incredible job writing his character. This isn’t your normal romance in my opinion. It wasn’t all rainbows and daisies. It has a certain thrill to the characters and their story and is heartbreaking in some locations. I laughed a good portion of the time between Grady and Ali’s communication areas. They are a riot to read and incredibly frustrating.
I think if you give this book a shot, you will enjoy it. It’s a fun read, with some great emotion. It will drag you in and keep you reading, turning page after page. I don’t think you will be disappointed at all.
