REVIEW TOUR & #GIVEAWAY - One Night in Edinburgh by Charlotte Howard

One Night in Edinburgh

by Charlotte Howard

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
BLURB:
Chloe Shade has travelled to Edinburgh to meet up with a potential client, and has just twenty-four hours to convince them to sign her contract. But when she meets the delicious Ethan, he proves to be so much more than an enticing distraction. It’s not long before Chloe has some life changing decisions to make, and less than a day to make them.
Excerpt:
There was a lot of eye-candy in the bar. The two men serving the exotic cocktails were enough to make her mouth water. She crossed one leg over the other and rocked her foot back and forth, taking the two straws into her mouth and giving them a gentle suck.
The taste of chocolate and cream, laced with vodka swirled over her tongue, increasing her desire for something more. Delicious didn’t seem to cover the addictive drink, and she soon drained it, leaving smears of creamy froth in her wake.
“What a surprise,” came a voice she recognised. Chloe closed her eyes and gave an inward groan.
“Hi,” she said, forcing a smile and turning to face Ethan. She struggled to catch her breath as she took him in. He’d changed from the shredded jeans and black tee, and was now dressed in a smart and expensive-looking suit. The grey silk-woven fabric glistened under the white lights, making it look as if he’d been sprinkled with glitter.
“Want another?” he asked, pointing to her empty glass.
“Sorry, but I’m actually waiting for someone,” she said, turning back to the drink and waving at the barman, giving him a signal that she did, in fact, want another. Guilt weighed on her. She’d fucked this man only a couple of hours ago, and now she was getting rid of him. Or trying to, anyway. She could only hope that the mysterious Mr. Lowe was somewhere as near to sexy as Ethan.
Short! far too short! Well, that was my first and immediate thought, I wanted more. BUT now I'm sitting here writing the review, I'm not sure a longer book would work. Maybe a follow up, but not a longer book.
Chloe goes to Edinburgh to meet a client. It was only supposed to be a wine, dine, sign scenario. But meeting Ethan on the plane and losing her box of samples sends Chloe into a tail spin. Discovering Ethan is the client she is supposed to meet, tips her over the egde.
Deliciously little book. Instant attraction, instant love, and a life changing decision, all in 24 hours! Ethan and Chloe are hot together, and the attaction is off the charts. But also, the love. I know, I know! Instant love, in 24 hours?? It happens, somewhere, someone will fall in love in 24 hours. But come on, this is a book. And in a book an author can make thier characters do what they like, how they like and when they like. So, HERE, its perfect for Ethan and Chloe to fall in love. Just perfect.
I'll certainly look out for more by this author, but a longer piece of work. This is part of a whole series of One Nights, but I'd like to see what this author can produce that isn't so short.
4 stars, but only because the timeline is so sensitive.
